Improved performance for intrinsically safe valves

The Atos R&D has specifically designed a new solenoid to enhance the overall performance of intrinsically safe valves.

In addition, the new solenoid is multi-certified ATEX, IECEx, EAC for surface group II 1G and mining group I M1 for operations up to zone 0, while CCC certification is in progress.

It will be initially introduced starting from DHWL8, improving hydraulic performance:

• Pmax up to 350 bar, previously 250 bar
• Qmax up to 25 l/min, previously 20 l/min

The series production will be available from April 2023. The new solenoid will be progressively extended to the whole intrinsically safe range during 2023.
